Abstract

This paper presents the preliminary results of a qualitative, mixed research on training in heritage interpretation. It is aimed at spreading the results of the diagnosis of its current state in the degree in Socio-Cultural Developmental Management at the University of Matanzas. Document analysis, participant observation, interview, pedagogical content knowledge test, participatory technique, questionnaire, and focus group discussion were the methods used for data collection. The results show theoretical, methodological, and practical shortcomings in this training.
