Abstract

PEREZ-RUIZ, Ángel. Teaching the Portuguese Language in Higher Education. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2020, vol.39, n.1  Epub Apr 01, 2020. ISSN 0257-4314.

Language lessons are intended for people to communicate in a foreign language. The whole body of lessons constitutes a unity aimed at achieving goals set by education system, degree, program, and subject. Teaching-learning process is of itself a student personality development process, because it structures and develops the relation between the cognitive (knowledge, habits, and skills) and the affective (attitudes). This work suggests practical measures which may contribute to a better teaching-learning process of the Portuguese language, adapting it to every academic environment, and making contents more flexible depending on the pace at which average students learn.

Keywords : language classes; communication skills; Portuguese.
