Nowadays, the teaching profession is required to use various teaching methods, letting students shape their own learning. Academics should use works written by contemporary authors, which will be most appropriate to higher education, without underestimating others. To consider different teaching methods for higher education will allow academics to update their knowledge and use the most convenient ones (as systems) in classrooms, which will keep classes interesting. This paper is aimed at stressing the importance of selecting the contemporary teaching methods most suitable for higher education, which will contribute to training better professionals.
