Abstract

Training trends is a mediating element between the planning and execution of educational training. For this reason, the research aims to identify the training trends of Economics students at the Toribio Rodríguez de Mendoza National University. The study was descriptive with a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental design; The study population was 81 Economics students, to whom a survey was applied. The results indicate that 83.9% of the students complement their studies externally in a virtual way; 82.7% yearn for a doctoral degree or higher in a prestigious Public University; 98.8% want to start a business and would work in their organizations. It is concluded that the educational trends in economics students are characterized by opting for a specialization in finance and public management, obtaining a doctorate or postdoctoral degree, as well as having a good salary.
