Abstract

NUNEZ, Miriam; MAZORRA, L. M; REYES, Yanelis  and  MARTINEZ, Lisbel. Brassinosteroid and plant responses to abiotic stress: An updated. cultrop [online]. 2010, vol.31, n.2, pp. 00-00. ISSN 0258-5936.

Starting from the reviews published by this journal and the Journal of Plant Growth Regulation in 2001 and 2003, respectively, this paper discusses updated international information on brassinosteroids and plant responses to abiotic stress, such as heat, water, saline and heavy metal stresses. This review also presents the advances of this subject obtained in Cuba, both by applying 24-epibrassinolide and some spirostane analogues, as well as the response of tomato genotypes with different castasterone contents to high temperature stress

Keywords : brassinosteroids; plant response; stress; tomatoes.
