Abstract

MARTINEZ-VIERA, R; DIBUT, B  and  YOANIA, Ríos. Efecto de la integración de aplicaciones agrícolas de biofertilizantes y fertilizantes minerales sobre las relaciones suelo-planta. cultrop [online]. 2010, vol.31, n.3, pp.00-00. ISSN 0258-5936.

The irrational chemical level reached by agriculture all over the world constitutes one of the main causes for the high environmental contamination in the planet, whose characteristics are described in the present paper. Therefore, the application of new biotechnologies is being imposed at present, such as biofertilizers, with the objective of adapting them to the sustainable development of the poorest locations in the planet, besides taking advantages of their benefits, to place the mineral fertilizers in its right position. Agricultural sustainability includes the rational use of agrochemicals integrated with biological elements. To reach this aim, a theoretical framework is required with new assumptions that permit to establish commitments adapted to the current situation, looking for more productivity and quality of the agricultural products. On the other hand, the present work also analyzes the need of integrating the biological and technical approaches, which are developing in agricultural sciences, with those derived from social sciences, for instance, the Political Ecology, that analyzes the relationships between economical and political power to manage natural resources, and the approach oriented to actors to get integrated into interdisciplinary and multiple scale researches.

Keywords : biofertilizers; mineral fertilizers; nitrogen fixation; soil-plant relationships.
