Abstract

CALDERON, Alfredo A; CALDERON, Maida; FUNDORA, Luis R  and  JEREZ, Eduardo. Estimation of leaf area MAMEY POSITIONS (Pouteria sapota (Jaccq) NURSERY PHASE, FROM THE LINEAR LEAF. cultrop [online]. 2011, vol.32, n.2, pp. 91-99. ISSN 0258-5936.

The measure of the area to be foliated generally carries out by means of destructive and laborious methods, for what requires to settle down non destructive methods in the measure that is possible. Presently work traces ourselves as objective: to find a non destructive method to estimate the area to foliate in mammee postures (Pauteria sapota (Jaccq), using the lineal measures of their leaves. with the long one a good adjustment is achieved independently of the width of the leaves with little difference of the one reached with the product of the longitude of the leaf x its width and also taking in consideration, that the behavior of the residuals obtained by the long one went very similar to the one achieved by the product of the long x the width of the leaves.

Keywords : leaf area; plant nurseries; Pouteria sapota.
