Abstract

An etiopathogenic hypothesis is explained taking into consideration the most significant results of the research performed on neuropathy as well as the latest knowledge about the infections produced by Enterovirus. The hypothesis allows to make a logical interpretation of these results; however, the new aspects included make it controversial in the light of the present knowledge of pathogeny by Enterovirus. Further research is needed to confirm this hypothesis.
