CRUZ TAMAYO, Fernando; ORTIZ ARZUAGA, Elia  and  LEON AMBRUSTER, Rafael. Relationship between iron-deficiency anemia and Helicobacter pylori infection. Rev Cubana Hematol Inmunol Hemoter [online]. 2007, vol.23, n.2, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-2996.

Iron-deficiency is the most frequent nutritional lack in the world. Helicobacter pylori is a gram-negative bacterium, an etiological agent of the most common chronic infection among humans. It seems that this germ has a remarkable influence on iron metabolism and, nowadays, there are many evidences of its direct relation to iron-deficiency anemia. The most significant aspects of this interesting and important topic are investigated in this paper.
