Abstract

A procedure for the collection and preservation of human hair samples for the quantitative determination of metals is described. Its application allows to obtain betwen 0.5 and 1.0 g of sample taken from the occipital region (vertex posterior). In its making, the recommendations carried out by the International Atomic Energy Agency and other institutions have been compiled.
