Abstract
FERNANDEZ ROMERO, Tammy; GONZALEZ GRIEGO, Antonio; MELCHOR RODRIGUEZ, Antonio and FERNANDEZ ACOSTA, Félix J.. Obtention of a peroxidase-anti-hepatitis B virus surface antigen conjugate . Rev Cubana Invest Bioméd [online]. 2007, vol.26, n.4, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3011.
A conjugate was prepared and evaluated for the detection of hepatitis B virus surface antigen by double antibody sandwich ELISA. Donkey polyclonal antibodies against the hepatitis B virus surface antigen, peroxidase and the periodate conjugation method were used. The enzymatic, immunological and specific activity of the conjugate were evaluated. The enzyme and the antibodies conserved their activity after conjugation, and the dilution range 1/400-1/1400 was chosen as optimal for the work. It was concluded that the conjugate obtained presented an adequate specificity, detectability and reactivity, and that it could considered apt for its use.
