Abstract

A clinical assay of 40 patients aged 36-45y, mainly females suffering from peripheral neuropathy was analyzed from February to May, 1996 in the Provincial Center of Retinitis Pigmentosa in Camagúey. The most affected were 12 patients who were professionals followed by 7 patients who were workers. The most striking signs and symptoms foun were myalgia in 34 cases, cramps in 25 cases, headache in 22 patients, dwindles in 20 patients and loss of balance in 2 cases. Rectum was the most used way of administration and a satisfactory remission was observed in 34 patients, which proved the effectiveness of ozone therapy in patients with peripheral neuropathy.
