A hard work has been done in Cuba since the 1960s searching for new working methods to increase the quality of nursing care. The implementation of the method of register of the Nursing Care Process from 1995 on caused a great impact at the national and international level. At present, in spite of the knowledge existing about the specialty and of the efforts that have been made to register with a good quality the Nursing Care Process in the health care services, there are still difficulties. To bring up to date and explain the importance of the application of the Nursing Care Process and its register, a wide bibliographic review was made and experts on this topic were consulted in the second quarter of 2003. New strategies were proposed to put into effect the corresponding register in the health services on the basis of the criteria of health service and teaching experts. Feasible modifications adjusted to the objective reality of these times were used in the strategies proposed taking always into account the future view.
