Methods:

descriptive correlational study, stratified random sampling, the sample was composed of 519 students of high schools of the Autonomous University of Campeche in 2012. 7 instruments with acceptable reliability were applied, data processing was through the statistical program Statical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 18.

The reasons that lead to alcohol consumption are enjoyed by 17,3 % over the holidays and for special occasions 14,7 %. Among the reasons for taking snuff highlight relax when they are tense and angry 13,5 % 11,6 % .The model used for this study was significant p<0, 001.
