Abstract

Introduction:

the need to rethink the methodological health intervention strategies based on Continuing Education in order to articulate knowledge and practices and expand/extrapolate the scientific technical knowledge, constitutes a constant concern of educational institutions and health services.

Objective:

to know the perception of nursing students and health workers in the face of new methodologies of permanent health education.

Methods:

this is a qualitative research conducted in one of a medium-sized hospital learning incubator, the central region of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Data were collected through individual interviews, in the period from March to June 2013, with 20 participants.

Results:

from the thematic content analysis three categories emerged: (re)thinking health practices; repercussions in the labor process; and strategies for the qualification process.

Conclusion:

the incubator of learning is constituted as a new methodological strategy in order to operationalize the permanent health education, and to present itself as a tool to intervene and rethink the care in health
