Abstract

This paper is a brief summary of the Nuclear Cardiology history in Cuba, mentioning the current main mortality causes, the usefulness and results of nuclear tests among the imaging techniques nowadays used in Cardiology, including gated-SPECT, PET and hybrid imaging combining anatomical and functional information. This paper also reviews our present worldwide performance in Nuclear Cardiology, with emphasis on our development and future trends, and proposes some recommendations
