A descriptive and prospective study of a sample of 197 adolescents from "Tupac Amaru" Urban Secondary Basic School, in Alamar, academic course 1998-1999, was carried out to know their main preoccupations from their own view. After applying a projective technique, we were able to know their general preoccupations by school grade and with this preliminary result 3 surveys were done to go deep into this subject. The adolescents from 7th grade referred as their first preoccupation their future aspirations. Studying was number one followed by happiness and family health. Students from 8th grade mentioned first the school and everything related to it, followed by recreation and the difficulties to use their free time. The sexual sphere appeared in the third place. Social problems are in the first place for those in 9th grade and they feel that their doubts are not satisfied. The changes of age and recreation complete their preoccupations
