Abstract
PEREZ CARDENAS, Clara and VALLE ARENCIBIA, Adiaris. Perspectivas evolutivas de familias en formación. Rev Cubana Med Gen Integr [online]. 2002, vol.18, n.4, pp.275-277. ISSN 0864-2125.
The stages of family evolution are little approached in medical literature; therefore, we decided to go deep into that stage starting with the union of the couple, since it is a period of many expectations in the personal and family life. We proposed ourselves to explore by means of a descriptive and prospective study the fundamental conflict of the couples during this stage, the attempts made to solve it, and the feelings referred to on facing the event that defines this first stage of evolution as family, and to further evaluate the existence or not of an expectation of limit in the family stability that each member of the couple has. It was found that they generally attain privacy, matching of sexual needs and empathy, despite the short time of union. The economic affectation is the most common conflict and they consider living together as positive. It should be stressed that men find most of the strategies to give solution to other problems resulting from not having into account tasks that are characteristic of this period of family life.
