A clinical practice guide for acute diarrheal diseases, which is aimed at making recommendations for therapeutical management of patients suffering from acute diarrheal diseases, was presented. This guide dealt with definitions and causes of acute diarrheal diseases, the objectives of the treatment, the assessment of patients with diarrheas, the clinical and epidemiological characteristics as well as therapeutical considerations and therapies for managing diarrheas caused by several microorganisms.
