Abstract

It is point out like in contemporary world, where national and international cooperation is so important in search of academic excellence and health care, it is necessary stablishment of evaluation indicators and categories allowing to classify or to compare Cuban faculties and universities, to create exchange and completion of formative processes and of professional excelling between professors and students in different careers, specializations, and the other educational modalities. We analysed Cuban experiences in process of teaching accreditation of academic, teaching-assistance, and research institutions and how it has influenced in quality of teaching processes. Cuban criteria and principles, applied to postgraduate academic credits, how to fulfil the function of regulator mechanism to accreditation of academic programs and that of professional excelling in medical universities. At the same time, academic credit promotes intellectual and scientific production as well as the general development of proffessional in Health National System. Obtained results are analised and recommendations are made
