Based on indissoluble dialectic relationship existing between languaje and society, idiom and thouhgt, stablehes, by means of marxist interpretation of principles and laws of linguistics ans a independent science, its fundamental significance in elucidation of social problem created fy nature of essence of social function of language. Some of the more significant criticisms made by Marx and Engels certain interpretations and solutions that diverse linguistic trends have tried for contribute to this problem. At the same time, we analyse the emerging of sociolinguistic and, within this, development of so called communicative approach as a solution to pressing problem of teaching of english language to Cuban health professionals
