Abstract

RODRIGUEZ BLANCO, Carlos. Laboratorio docente para entrenamiento artroscópico. Educ Med Super [online]. 2003, vol.17, n.3, pp. 0-0. ISSN 0864-2141.

The author of this paper, member of the Arthroscopic Surgery Group devoted to assistance, teaching and research of the arthroscopic technique at "Hermanos Ameijeiras" hospital, is not satisfied with the classical model of teaching of this therapeutic variant. Therefore, using his experience of over a decade in the formation of professionals within this profile, he presents in this paper a teaching model for the application of this technique that employs a Teaching Lab for instruction and facilitates sound theoretical-practical basis that reduces the learning period and increases the competence of the trained professional. The model allows making a systematic and objective evaluation of the level of preparation of students and protects the population receiving this service. This model has served to train over 50 professionals in the Basic, Introductory, Advanced Technique and Specialized Courses as well as in 2 national diploma's courses, with a higher quality in learning which is seen in the application of the different techniques. This model has provided uniform procedures to carry out five national multicenter studies.
