Abstract

A qualitative research work was conducted at “Dr Luis Díaz Soto” Higher Institute of Military Medicine to obtain the model of tutor for medical specialties focused on education at work. A documentary review was made on the tutor in this center and worldwide. A group activity was carried out with consultant professors and heads of departments; the first part was the filling out of a survey and the second one was the discussion of a proposal of tutor model submitted by the authors. As a result, the tutor model for the institute, and for the first time for the country, was achieved through qualitative research methods.
