AIM: to contribute to solve the problems that still exist in the education of values in today's society. DEVELOPMENT: some ideas that may be useful for higher education professors were approached, since education should play a significant role in this commitment. The study of Ernesto Che Guevara's work is a powerful theoretical-practical tool for professors at any educational level including the postgraduate one. It is a real contribution to the human values education of the young generation that is being created and that should be defended at any price, just as our Commander-in-Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, said. CONCLUSIONS: for the training of the new model of health professionals and for the consolidation of values, ethical attitudes and behaviours under the principles of humanism and socialism, the scientific and technical development to be achieved in the students is indispensable and consubstantial.
