Abstract

NAVARRO GONZALEZ, Alfredo; HERNANDEZ GUTIERREZ, Raúl  and  LOPEZ BELTRAN, Rubén. Doble free vascularized flap in the reconstruction of the lower limb. Rev Cubana Ortop Traumatol [online]. 2006, vol.20, n.1, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3100.

The case of a  patient that suffered  a severe trauma of the left lower limb is reported.A doble free vascularized flap was performed  in 2 times to provide a wide cutaneous coverage of the inferior third of the leg, the ankle joint and the heel. Microsurgical techniques of limb reconstruction, tendinous transposition and Ralca external fixation were combined aimed at attaining an adequate joint stabilization, an optimal cutaneous coverage and a satisfactory functional result.
