Abstract

GONZALEZ BLANCO, Yanileidy; MENDEZ SANCHEZ, Teresita de Jesús; CASANUEVA CABEZA, Haymy C.  and  LOPEZ FELIPE, Daniel. Surgical treatment of childhood glaucoma. Rev Cubana Oftalmol [online]. 2019, vol.32, n.3  Epub Sep 01, 2019. ISSN 1561-3070.

Treatment of childhood glaucoma is mainly surgical. New alternatives are presently available to improve the success of the various surgical techniques for childhood glaucoma, a condition requiring timely treatment aimed at intraocular pressure control and quick rehabilitation of these patients, considering that many of them are in full visual development. Hence the importance of conducting a review of the main surgical techniques used for childhood glaucoma.

Keywords : Childhood glaucoma; surgical treatment; complications.
