Resumen

Some data regarding the origin, objective, content, and some formal aspects of the Havana observer, the third of the cuban journals of medicine emerged in the first half of the XIX century, are presented. Likewise, the name of the main collaborators of this publication, whose talent and hard work influenced on it with interesting clinical observations and articles, are mentioned. With this contribution, we are trying to fulfil an obligation with the present time and to meet a debt with the past, since it’s evident on it, the desire that the knowledge about the existence of this title, can resist the destructive action, through the years and counteract the men’s lack of interest and ignorance.
