Abstract

Las primeras revistas médicas cubanas de la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. Rev Cubana Salud Pública [online]. 1999, vol.25, n.2, pp.178-190. ISSN 0864-3466.

The brief description of the main formal and content elements of the first titles of medical magazines emerged in the second half of the 19th century is the continuation of the reviews which dealt with publications from 1840 to 1850 and were published in the three previous issues of Revista Cubana de Salud Pública. This paper, devoted to magazines that were issued during the 50’s of the last decade, attempts to provide the readers with a scientifically founded source of reference of publications the appearance of which represented an important event in the history of the Cuban medicine in general and the national medical bibliography in particular.
