Abstract

The conceptual understanding of inter-sectoriality and the intervening factors in its development is fully valid when dealing with public health. The technological approach of the latter and the extensive character of the health sector to other sectors through coordinated interventions of representative institutions from more than one social sector in several actions aimed at partially or fully treating the problems related to health, welfare and quality of life must be understood on the grounds of what it means for an important and necessary social organized response. The very characteristics of health, which belongs to a highly complex social system where actors in and out of the sector participate, determine a completely different acting dynamics that must be fully understood by the members of the national health system. Another aspect that this paper addressed is that related to the factors intervening in the development of intersectoriality as influential and/or determining factors for health, welfare and quality of life of the population in addition to conditioning and unleashing factors for implementation of this technological approach in line with diversity, magnitude and significance of problems.
