Introduction "Senén Casas Regueiro" Center of Comprehensive Pediatric Rehabilitation was founded in 1999 as an answer to the claim of the families with children with physical and motor disabilities that lived in Habana Vieja municipality and needed a place near home to receive their rehabilitation treatment. Objectives To know the opinion of the relatives of the patients and of the workers about the management of the center. Methods The universe was composed of workers, the children enrolled in the center and their relatives. The health characteristics of the children were determined by comparing the situation on admission and the current situation. 100 % of the workers took part in a diagnostic study of the working environment. Structured interviews were made to know the impact that the incorporation of the children to the center has had according to their relatives. Results The opinions of the workers and relatives about the center were coherent and both corresponded with the assessment of the clinical evolution of the patients made by the specialists. Conclusions It was proved that the center has had a positive impact on the social, economic and health situation of these families and, therefore, on the community.
