Abstract

The paper was intended to make reflections on the need of the contemporary public health care to broaden the spectrum of methodological alternatives in order to approach the increasing number of complex objects of study. To this end, it made emphasis on the possibilities of the qualitative approach to scientific research composed by critical and constructivist paradigms.
