The analysis of information/knowledge management in the context of mankind evolution facilitates a deeper look into its social meaning. The process of knowledge and information evolution was studied assuming that the transformation of Homo sapiensinto Homo sapientissimus, the reflex in inanimate matter and living matter to their environment, the information storage, the development of a social conscious as well as the future of the mankind. The importance of knowledge management should not be restricted to its conception as a social phenomenon, but it should be understood in a greater extent related to its ontological essence for mankind.
