Abstract

An approach to analysis, synthesis and systemic integration of information that occurs during meta-analytical research from the perspecive of information production processes were carried out. The antecedents and classification features of meta-analysis were established. The six meta-analytical research stages were studied to clear up: problem formulation, literature review, studies code, results measurements, analysis, interpretation and publicaction of the final results. The different types of bias that can interfere with meta-analytical review quality and statistical concepts for a better comprehension of these studies were reviewed.
