Objective: Determine clinical disorders more frequently found in carrier and non carrier patients of dental prosthesis. Design: A descriptive, retrospective study was carried out within the period from January 1996 to December 1997, applying a formulary for gathering oral cavity disorders in carriers of prosthesis; and troubles for the treatment beginning in non carriers of apparatus. Place: Stomatological Clinic of Camaguey City. Subjects: The universe of study was composed of 803 patients that attended to Prosthesis Service to be examined before treatment, 135 had troubles for the beginning of it. Results: Disorders observed in the oral cavity in patients, carriers of prosthesis were due to iatrogeny in the elaboration or damage of its use; being dental and bone migrations the most common causes of troubles for the beginning of treatment. Conclusions: The clinical disorders most frequently found in carrier or non carrier patients of stomatological prosthesis were parodontal disorders and bone migrations.
