The objectives of this study were: collet information about different age estimation methods existing in forensic odontology for identifying cadavers. Bibliography was taken from libraries of the medical University of Camagüey and from the computed system of Medline. The study selection criterium those related with the theme elected and dealt with the topic object of our research, which were at authors consulted consider. The need of a multidisciplinary cooperation among the forensic odontologist and the anthropologist. Dental characteristics constitute a well­defined component with solid scientific bases for identifying cadavers. Everyday it is more important the forensic odontology, since in modern times the risk of massive disasters is increasing every time more. Concluding, the secquence of dental formation, Custafson's method based on six changes related with age and the racemization of aminoacids are methods wich indicate that teeth represent an insuperable record of each individual in Legal Medicine. Professional jobs, habits and cultural behaviours provoke vestiges an dentition important for the identification of victims.
