Abstract

RAMIREZ LABRADA, Ariel et al. Preliminary Study of the Antimicrobial activity and toxicology of the N- (fur-2-il-methylene)-isobutylamine. AMC [online]. 2000, vol.4, n.2. ISSN 1025-0255.

A preliminary study of the antimicrobial activity of the N- (fur -2 metil-il-methyline)- isobutylamine was performed by serial double diluion and neutralization -dilution methods on S aureos Paureoginosa, and C. albicans, determining the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) and the minimal ,mg/ ml, respectively, coincidign in all cases MIC and MMC. Afterwards, antimicrobial activity of imino with an antibiotic of clinical use with similar structure, nitrofurantoine was compared. It was observed that S. aureus and P. aureoginosa are more sensible to nitrofurantoine, different to C. albicans. Phenol coffeisient was determined and it was observed that a solution of imina 3, 3% has the same effect as on phenol 5%. Cocluding, a primary Dermic Irritability eassy to pure substance was carried out, obtaining an IIP de 1.42, calssified as slightly irritable.
