An explicative observational study of 46 asthmatic patients is presented.They were divided to two groups, A and B. The (A) group received educative couselling and the group (22 patients) only pharmacologic treatment with the aim of knowing the value of education in the asthmatic patient and his parents. The said study was carried out in Armando E. Cardoso Hospital during one year. The results were the following , lower number of admissions and drises in the (A) group as well as a lower school absentism, decrease in the crisis duration, also reduction in the attendance to the emergency servicio in the said group, compared with the (B) Group Concluding, education is an important support in the management of the asthma patients.
