Abstract

In a single dosis of 60 mg / kg of body weight administred by oral via through a gastric brobe , Xanthium strumarium l. in 20% tincture in 45% hydroalcoholic solution, provoked a diuresis superiror to the control group treated with hydroclothyazide 5 mg/kg od body weigth at two , fourd and six hours of observation, bling the significant diffeence in both cases for p<0.05 and p<0.01. The excretion of electrolitros determined in uthe urine excreted was superior and significant when comparing it wiht the control group (p<0.05) and inferior to the excreted by hydroclorotiazide.
