Abstract

A descriptive study wasperformed with the aim of characterizing 62 patients with acute myocardial infartion who were treated with recombinat streptokinase admitted in "Manuel Ascunce Domenech"provincial Hospital of Camagüey during 1998, patients alive represented 90,33% of the universe, 51,61% were treated within a period of 3 hours or less, arrythmias had a frequency of 82,25 %, being the premature ventricular contraccions the prevailing ones either in alive or deceased. The death causes most important were woll rupture and anaphylactic shock, 50% of deceased had thrombosis in the left coronary and more than a half of alive patients were discharged after treatment.
