Abstract

VILLAFANA CASTILLO, Osmery  and  PINEIRO GONZALEZ, Melba. Morbility for Colon and rectum cancer. AMC [online]. 2002, vol.6, n.1, pp.19-28. ISSN 1025-0255.

An analysis was carried out of all clinical registers of patients who assisted to General Surgery Service with the clinical, imaging diagnosis or both of colorrectal cancer within the period from january 1988 to december 1999, 47 registers were included in the study and their diagnosis of CRC were confirmed through histopathology and at the same times nine registers were excluded because the diagnosis has not been confirmed. The most affected age group resulted in 63-73 years with 26 patients (55, 31 %), masculine sex had the higher prevalence with 31 patients (65, 95 %), the histologic type that prevailed was the addenocarcinoma with 39 patients (82, 98 %), the tumoral stating prevailing was that of type B2 (Dukes). Literature related to it was reviewed.
