Abstract

A descriptive study was carried out with the aim of characterizing the hypertensive patient in the health clinic 31 of Rodolfo Ramírez Esquivel Teaching Polyclinic during 2002. The research universe was composed of 106 patients older than 18 years old of such health area, we used as variables risk factors, classification of BP according to etiology, modality and severity. In area work, the daily intake of salt prevailed with 93.40 %. It was found the moderate way of this affection as to its severity in the 59.43 %. The 83.97 % did not present complications.
