The unbalance among the action strogenic and androgenic level of breast tissues provokes gynecomastia. It was described a case of a patient wit 72 years old diagnosed of high blob pressure, who was treated with hyposodic diet and sprironolactone for rare than ten years and presented bilateral gynecomastia. It is commented he easy role of this doug as well as its prolonged treatment as one of the causes o this disease, at the same time, we reviewed briefly the most important physiopathologic mechanism we tock into account in the development of this affection which as uncommon at present, at frequent for the total of drugs that produce it and the member of dougs every time higher that create this side -.effects. There are other processes capable of producing this disease, either neoplasic or chronic hepatopathies in patients of the third age.
