Abstract
GARCIA GALMA, Leonel; HERRERA CRUZ, Niría; PEREZ ESCOBAR, María Mercedes and GUERRERO RODRIGUEZ, María Antonia. Sensibility and specificity of the renal biopsy in the acute rejection. AMC [online]. 2007, vol.11, n.2, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1025-0255.
An observacional descriptive cross- sectional study was performed, about the sensibility and specificity of the renal biopsy, with clinical diagnosis rejection in 69 transplanted patients with functional renal graft, in the nephrology service at "Manuel Ascunce Domenech" Provincial Hospital of Camagüey, from January the 1st 1998 to December 31st, 2002. Renal biopsies histologically described were carried out by means of the classification of BANFF (1993-1995). The clinical humoral manifestations more frequent were the elevation of the figures of serum creatinine and arterial hypertension. It was suspected in 48 patients and it was diagnosed in 39 (81.3%), it did not suspect in 21 and histologically demonstrated in seven patients (33.7%). The clinical diagnosis rejection had a sensibility of the 84.7% and a specificity of the 60.8%. The toxicity by cidosporine and the acute tubular necrosis were the main overlapping illnesses in the acute rejection infradiagnosis.
