With the purpose to evaluate the short-term impact of a system of educational actions directed to improve the self-control of the radicular caries’ risk factors, an educational intervention study in systems and health services was performed in 49 patients of the doctor's office 48 of the western area. The investigation was carried out in three phases: selection of patients and summary of the information, design and carrying out a system of educational actions and finally the evaluation. An interview with the objective to investigate on the oral hygiene and perception of risk to suffer radicular caries and a questionnaire with the objective to know the level of information that turned out to be regular and badly in the 59.2 %, was applied to the patients. They were grouped according to similar learning needs and they received individual and group educational activities. After applying this system of actions the level of information was elevated to well in a 79.5 %, they improved the perception of the risk and the oral hygiene for which was concluded that the continued strategy had a positive impact to achieve favorable changes.
