Abstract

Background: the irruption in the endovenous circulation of a strange substance to the human body is not always completely innocuous and it may produce undesirable or unexpected reactions. When these reactions generate clinical manifestations, they are considered as adverse. Development: a review study was carried out on radiological contrasts, pathogeny of its adverse reactions, types of events that happen, risk groups, diagnostic and behavior to fallow. Conclusions: finally radiological contrast media are considered substances of complex molecules, widely used and diverse undesirable clinical consequences, consecutive to its administration that may be evaluated with the identification of the risk groups.
