Abstract

MOYA, Aniel et al. Immunoglobulin preparation against LPS of Pseudomonas aeruginosa serotype O11. Vaccimonitor [online]. 2002, vol.11, n.1, pp. 12-17. ISSN 1025-0298.

Based on classification studies of isolated Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains from patients of Santiago de Cuba’s Hospitals, an immunoglobulin preparation with high specificity to P. aeruginosa O11 LPS was developed, from plasma of healthy donors with relevant titer against this lipopolysaccharidic antigen of this gram (-) bacteria. From 10 serotype of P. aeruginosa tested against healthy donor’s serum, 91% of it showed activity anti LPS O11 antigens according to Dot Blot results and the immunoglobulin obtaining with high yield, during purification process, showed an antibody anti LPS reactivity by Western Blot assay higher than INTACGLOBIN®.

Keywords : Pseudomonas aeruginosa; Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG); Alcoholic Fractionation; LPS O11.
