Abstract
RIVERO LOPEZ, MIGUEL; ALVAREZ GONZALEZ, MANUEL; LOPEZ ACOSTA, TANIA and GONZALEZ CACERES, JUANA. Actividad antifúngica in vitro del Pinus caribaea (pino macho). Rev Cubana Plant Med [online]. 1997, vol.2, n.1, pp. 25-29. ISSN 1028-4796.
An study was carried out with the aim of to prove in vitro antifungal activity against filamentous fungi of alcoholic and aqueous extracts from leaves of Pinus caribaea, by method of diffusion versus different fungi, like Microsporum gypseum, Trichophytum mentagrophytes, Microsporum canis, and Thrichophyton rubrum, which are common producers of superficial mycosis in our population. Data were statistically analized by Kruskal-Wallis´s test, Mann Whitney´s rank test, Friedman´s test, and Wilcoxon´s rank test. Authors conclude that aqueous extract and alcoholic fluid extracts (25 and 50 %), haven´t antifungal activity against these fungi and that alcoholic fluids extracts (75 and 100 % had an statistically similar activity to nystatin against M. canis and T. rubrum, although showed same activity.
