Abstract
LEMES HERNANDEZ, Ciro Mario; RODRIGUEZ FERRADA, Carlos A and ACOSTA DE LA LUZ, Lérida. Multiplicación vegetativa de Rosmarinus officinalis L. (Romero). Rev Cubana Plant Med [online]. 2001, vol.6, n.3, pp. 79-82. ISSN 1028-4796.
Different ways of vegetative multiplication of Rosmarinus officinalis L. (romero) were studied by 2 experiments. In the first one, we assayed 3 types of stakes: terminal and intermediate buds and buds with heel, planted in 5 substrata: soil and organic matter; organic matter and gravel of siliceous rock; zeolites; organic matter from rotten trunks of real palm and core (by-product of sugar manufacture) in 3 different dates (January, May and October) for 2 years. In the second experiment, we made assays with some concentrations of different growth-promoting auxins: indole-3-acetic acid (0, 50, and 100 ppm) in stakes of terminal and intermediate buds. The results showed that zeolite was the best substrate as well as the stakes of terminal buds with which it was possible to obtain a high number of plantules of excellent quality and their spreading during the whole year. No satisfactory results were attained with the growth regulators and the assayed concentrations.
