Abstract

Malnutrition is considered one of the main components to achieve an optimal state of health and ensure a good quality of life. Nutritional conditions are increasingly common in the world. FAO in 2017, states the information on the prevalence of malnutrition, also provides global figures for several regions of the world, approximately one in five people in the developing world have chronic under nutrition, 192 million children suffer from protein-energy malnutrition and More than 2,000 million have micronutrient deficiencies. This study was carried out with the objective of disseminating a topic to be consulted by health professionals and students. Our Ministry of Public Health dedicates important promotion and dissemination actions to reduce the effects of malnutrition on human beings.
