Abstract

Communication in health from the ethical, educational, managerial and assistance perspectives. MEDISAN [online]. 2009, vol.13, n.4, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1029-3019.

The communication skills in the relationship doctor/patient influence in the achievement of better results in the physical, mental, functional and subjective health of both parts, in the satisfaction level of patients and relatives, in the implementation of the therapeutic plan, in the clinical efficiency and in the decrease of the number of complementary tests. Three qualities indissolubly linked to the communication are described in the work: communicative, interactive and perceptive qualities, as well as the 3 fundamental functions of communication: informative, affective-evaluative and regulator functions. Other aspects of interest are equally commented, those related to the communicative barriers, the satisfactory and effective communication between patient - relatives and health staff, as well as during the assistance and educational practice.
